What Nitro car actually means is gas powered remote controlled car. So what should you have to get started on your Nitro Radio Controlled Cars?

Experience – it is recommended you have sufficient experience in operating an electric RC car before you purchase a Nitro Radio Controlled Toy car. If you’re a rookie at RC car usage then you probably wont be able to handle a Nitro RC car. This is why beginners are recommended to first get electric cars before they upgrade to Nitro RC cars. Thus, they can have enough skill to be comfortable with the Nitro Remote Control Cars.

Interest- if you are not interested in Nitro Remote Control Car, then there is absolutely no point in pursuing the hobby.

Information-know yourself and your enemies, then you will be victorious, or so to speak. Nitro RC car racing is often tricky so it’s always important to know about it before starting this hobby.

Materials:

i) Nitro RC car kit – contains just about everything that is required by you for building yourself a basic model of the Nitro RC car.

ii) Fuel- the fuel required, in this case Nitromethane-castor oil mix, for powering your Nitro RC car, are available in different hobby stores and shops. Gasoline is extremely volatile and usually less volatile fuels are used to power the Nitro RC car.

nitro rc kit

Nitro or Electric?

The cost between Nitro RCs and Electric RCs is quite significant, Nitro Radio Control Toy cars cost more to purchase than electric models.

Nitro RC cars can only be used outdoors as Nitro fuel is highly flammable and fumes are poisonous, so remember to safely store your Nitro fuel. Nitro RCs are awesome fun and faster than electric models.

You’d be more suited to electric RC toys as no fuel to add and empty after each run plus tuning and more basic care. With electric RCs they have much less noise and can be used indoors, also little after care is required.

Nitro or Gas?

Is a nitro gas car better and a gas-powered car? The fact that almost everybody uses nitro-powered car and gas-powered car almost interchangeably makes it even tougher to choose between the two. When people talk about gas-powered cars, it’s possible they really mean a nitro gas car. Here are the 6 main differences between a nitro gas car and a gas-powered car.

Size-Gas-powered cars are typically bigger and are made using a larger scale.

Ease of fueling-Hands down, it’s easier to fuel a nitro gas car. Nitro fuel is a mixture of methanol, nitro methane, and oil.

Fuel Price-Nitro fuel costs almost $45 per gallon while gas powered rc requires regular gas/Battery- One huge advantage of a gas-powered car is that you will never have to stop for a recharge. Nitro-powered cars need batteries for the radio receivers-usually AA.

Maintenance-Every time you run a nitro gas car, you will need to do maintenance afterwards.

Power- Nitro gives you just that, and at faster speeds. Gas, not nitro, gives more torque, which lets you turn a bigger drive shaft.

There are tons of benefits a nitro gas car offers pros and beginners alike. Maintaining your nitro-fueled little hobby will be a regular chore.
